Stacey Solomon reveals plans to become a stay-at-home mother to her five children
Stacey Solomon, the beloved TV personality and mother of five, has announced her plans to become a stay-at-home mom in order to focus on her children. The 34-year-old Loose Women star revealed her decision on the Glad We Had This Chat podcast, explaining that she wants to spend more time with her youngest three children as her older sons reach important milestones in their lives.
Solomon, who rose to fame on The X Factor and I’m A Celebrity, shares two sons, Zachary and Leighton, with a previous partner, and has three children, Rex, Rose, and Belle, with her husband Joe Swash, a former EastEnders actor. She expressed her desire to be present for her older children during this crucial time in their lives, while also wanting to avoid missing out on precious moments with her younger kids.
The presenter shared, “I definitely feel like I’m at a pivotal moment in my life where Zach is about to leave school and become an adult. I think I’m at a point in my life where I recognise that I’ve been really busy for his life, and his life is at a really important point, and my second son will get to that point before I know it. And then I’ve got these three babies. I don’t want to miss what I potentially feel like I missed with my older children.”
Solomon also discussed her career goals, revealing that she aims to work on projects that can be done from home and only take on passion projects outside of the house. She emphasized her love for being a mom and expressed her desire to prioritize her family while still pursuing her passions.
With her decision to become a stay-at-home mom, Solomon hopes to strike a balance between her career aspirations and her role as a mother. She shared, “I love being a mum. I have to sing for my grandma once a year – she’s already booked me in. That’s about all I’m going to do with the singing career. And then TV’s also going to be a small circle – all provided I’m lucky enough to carry on doing it.”
As she embarks on this new chapter in her life, Solomon is confident in her decision and proud of the mother she has become. She concluded, “As I’ve got older, I’ve got less mum guilt because I actually think I’m phenomenal, I’m a phenomenal mum.” Fans of Stacey Solomon can look forward to seeing her focus on her family while continuing to inspire others with her authenticity and warmth.
