Archewell Foundation Clears Up ‘Delinquency’ Accusations
The Archewell Foundation, founded by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, found themselves in hot water after being accused of ‘delinquency’ for allegedly not paying registration fees on time. However, the organization has since cleared up the misunderstanding, stating that all payments were made promptly and in accordance with IRS procedures.
An official letter from California’s attorney general had classified the charity as “delinquent” for allowing registration fees to lapse in early May. Despite this, the foundation insists that the payment was filed without error and was both mailed and received prior to the deadline.
While the legal and financial dispute unfolded, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were focused on their philanthropic efforts, spending time in Nigeria and promising to return. As part of their “Giants of Africa” programming, they partnered with the community of Abuja to provide adaptive sports opportunities.
The couple engaged with participants in a basketball clinic, including wheelchair basketball athletes, highlighting the importance of inclusivity and youth in shaping Africa’s future. The day was filled with sports, laughter, and meaningful conversation.
Despite the initial accusations, The Archewell Foundation remains committed to their charitable work and ensuring compliance with all regulations. Stay tuned for further updates on this developing story.
